Zuqa
Terms of use
Last updated 7 November 2026
Zuqa is a platform for watching concerts and entertainment events online and buying tickets to attend them in person. It is run by Events by Cara, Kenya ("we", "us"). By creating an account, buying a ticket or watching an event, you agree to these terms.
01Your account
- You can sign up with your email address, your Google account or your phone number. Keep your sign-in details private; you're responsible for what happens on your account.
- Give accurate details. We may suspend accounts that use false details, abuse the service or break these terms.
- If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to use Zuqa and buy tickets. Some events are for adults only and say so on the event page.
02Tickets
- Online tickets let you watch the live stream, and the replay while it's available, on one device at a time. If you start playing on a second device, the first one stops.
- In-person tickets give one person entry to the venue for the tier you chose (for example Regular, VIP or VVIP). They also include the live stream and replay. Each entry pass can be scanned once at the gate.
- Tickets belong to the account that bought them. Don't share, copy or resell your ticket, QR code or entry code. We may cancel tickets that are resold, duplicated or used to share a stream, without a refund.
- Prices are shown in Kenya shillings (KES), or US dollars where offered, and include any taxes we're required to charge. Payments are processed by Paystack using M-Pesa or card.
- A ticket is confirmed only once your payment succeeds and it appears in My Tickets.
03Free events
Some events are free to watch. You still need an account so we can keep the chat safe and let the organiser know how many people watched. Free in-person events may need a reserved spot, which is limited.
04Watching online
- Streams need a working internet connection. Picture quality adjusts to your connection. Mobile data charges from your network are your responsibility.
- Replays are available until the date shown on the event, then they're removed.
- Recording, re-streaming or re-uploading any part of an event is not allowed. Performances belong to the artists and organisers.
05At the venue
- Show your entry pass (QR code or entry code) at the gate. Venue staff may refuse entry or remove anyone who breaks venue rules, the law or behaves unsafely, without a refund.
- Venue rules, age limits and security checks are set by the organiser and the venue.
- By attending, you understand you may appear in photos or video recorded at the event, including the live stream.
06Live chat and behaviour
Be respectful. No hate speech, harassment, threats, spam, scams or sharing of other people's personal information. Event organisers and our team can remove messages and block accounts that break these rules.
07Changes, cancellations and refunds
Line-ups, start times and venues can change. If an event is cancelled, postponed or a paid stream doesn't work because of a problem on our side, our refund policy explains what you get back.
08Organisers and promoters
Some events are run by independent promoters using Zuqa. They are responsible for the event itself, including the line-up, the venue, and having the rights to stream the performance. We are responsible for the platform, ticket sales and payments.
09Our responsibility
- We work hard to keep Zuqa running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of interruptions, especially where they're caused by internet providers, power or the venue.
- As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any ticket is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the laws of Kenya.
10Your data
We handle your personal data as described in our privacy policy, in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you by email or on the site if the change is significant. Using Zuqa after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. If we can't settle a disagreement together, it will be handled by the courts of Kenya.
